Custom domain routing · beta

Your domain.
Same permanent site.

Keep the Arweave permanence and use an address your audience already knows. No nameservers to move and no hosting account to maintain.

Use a subdomain such as www for the smoothest connection. The final Connect button will live inside each paid project so nobody can claim another customer's domain.

Recommended CNAME setupDNS

Create this record where you manage DNS. Our Hetzner router verifies the destination and requests HTTPS from Let's Encrypt.

Your project dashboard also provides a one-time TXT record that proves you control this domain. Activation starts after the site is published.
Dedicated routing service

Two small DNS records.
We handle the rest.

01

Enter your domain

Open your completed project and choose Connect domain. We link the request to the website you already own.

02

Copy two DNS records

Add the routing CNAME plus a one-time TXT ownership proof. We show the exact names and values.

03

We verify and secure it

The router checks ownership, provisions HTTPS and waits until both the hostname and certificate are active.

04

Your domain goes live

Every request is routed to the currently approved Arweave manifest. Publishing a new edition does not require another DNS change.

What stays independent

Your domain is a door—not the archive.

If our router ever disappears, your Arweave manifest, NFT, source archive and gateway links continue to exist. You can point the same domain directly to another gateway or your own router using the rescue kit.

Before you connect

Do I need to transfer my domain?+

No. Keep the domain with your current registrar. You only add a DNS record.

Will HTTPS renew automatically?+

Yes. Our isolated Hetzner router requests a Let's Encrypt certificate after DNS is verified and renews it automatically.

Can I use the bare domain without www?+

Yes when your DNS provider supports ALIAS/ANAME flattening, or with an apex-routing plan. Otherwise redirect the bare domain to www.
